Jenna Armstrong

LPC

Hello there! My name is Jenna Armstrong. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I obtained a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University (SHSU) in 2018. I earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University (SHSU) in 2015. Additionally, I was employed as a domestic violence advocate from 2012-2014 in southeast Texas. I performed my clinical master’s internship at Children’s Safe Harbor and Montgomery County Juvenile Probation in Conroe, Texas. I have experience working with the following issues: mental health disorders, chronic illness/pain, trauma disorders, domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, addictions, vocational trauma, religious trauma, systemic barriers, racial violence, adolescents within juvenile probation, and houseless, LGBTQ youth. I currently hold licenses to practice therapy in Colorado and Texas. As a long time Omnist and Pagan, I understand the unique challenges that Pagan and/or other non Abrahamic religions face when searching for an ethical and aligned clinician. It is integral to the healing process for clients to feel safe, accepted, and supported on their spiritual journeys. I believe that clients have the right and ability to choose how to resolve their own problems and can make their own decisions with my assistance as a supporting ally. I believe that clients are responsible for their own behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. I hope to facilitate for my clients greater self-awareness through their life experiences that lead to increased confidence, self-esteem, independence, mental health, and the capacity to effectively navigate the complex challenges of life. My goal is to meet clients where they are and walk along side their journey towards healing.
