Mel LaBelle III

MA, LMHC

Are you experiencing difficulty managing emotions? Do you notice increasing problems within areas of your life that used to be more manageable? Especially with today's world events it can be difficult to keep up with each passing day. If you are looking to gain more control over your life and learn new skills to master areas of your world we might be a match to work together. I believe in using evidence based practices as they have a proven track record of success with a multitude of clients. My style often incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Each of these therapies has a focus on raising awareness of our thoughts, behaviors, and how we feel. With awareness and new life skills you can create healthier changes that make you feel better. Throughout this process my focus is to stay client centered, culturally sensitive, and trauma informed through active listening, mindfulness, and humility.
