Initiated as a mudang (shaman) through a traditional Naerim Gut ritual, by Kim Junghee (manshin, master of 1000 spirits), I work with many faiths and spiritual traditions. I am licensed as a mental health counselor, see clients via telehealth in Washington state. I specialize in PTSD, complex PTSD (C-PTSD), abusive relationship patterns, with creative, artistic, and/or highly intelligent clients. I am also a professional artist. My research on artists as shamans was published in the USA, UK, Poland, Hungary, and China. I integrate EMDR (eye motion desensitization and reprocessing) with shamanic counseling techniques. Formal training: BFA and MFA in painting, MA in psychology/family systems, graduate certificate in psychology of creativity, and PhD in humanistic and transpersonal psychology. Creative block, relationship dynamics, EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) are additional specialties, including abuse, divorce, work and family relationships, post divorce, religious abuse, and cult trauma. I am OON out of network only and provide a monthly superbill for clients to submit to insurance. $315/50 minutes and $472.50/80 minutes.
