I have been actively practicing as a Pagan since 1989. I am a queer parent of several young adult children. Spending time in nature is how I like to recharge and connect with myself. My hobbies include travel, weight lifting, reading, photography, encaustic painting, cooking, and playing with my dogs. I work with clients (individuals, families, couples & relational groups, therapuetic groups) who are experiencing emotional pain or discomfort around sexuality and/or gender. My goal as a counselor is to build trust with my clients so they feel safe enough to expand self-awareness and learn skills for growth and connection. I see clients ages 13 and older. My therapeutic approach is client-centered and trauma-informed. In my practice I draw on systems theory, neuropsychology, attachment theory, Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, Gottman, therapeutic play, and therapeutic art to treat the client’s unique needs. My counseling technique is experiential and somatic, helping the client to connect with their internal resources. I enjoy integrating my clients' spiritual beliefs with therapeutic practice.
